                                                 Nase Felon - Nase's Lane

Nase’s Lane is the latest work of Ill Figgaz Ent. own. This is one of the best CD’s to come out on the Shore. His resume is strong just as his bar. How many from the Shore can say they was on 106 & Park? To top it off how many can say they were on there and battling Loaded Lux. Throw them L’s up after you read the review, then hit the link and judge for yourself. What yall think?

This is S.P.E.K.T.R.U.M.’s review of Nase’s Lane

                                    Originality                   Lyrics                   Creativity
Reality………………      S.P.E.K.T.R.U.   ……     S.P.E.K.T.R.U.  …..   S.P.E.K.
Young Langston….. S.P.E.K.T   ….      S.P.E.K.T.R.      …..   S.P.E.K.T.R.

         Overall:      S.P.E.K.T.R  Certified

Breakdown:

Reality- Originality I give them a S.P.E.K.T.R.U., One thing for sure, I haven’t heard any one that Nase sounds like. I would have given him the whole S.P.E.K.T.R.U.M. but although his style stands out, his songs doesnt hit me to hard. Lyricism I gave them a S.P.E.K.T.R.U., Now I like his wordplay. I laugh to myself at some bars like, he thought of that dumb ass shit. Though that dumb is in a good way. He puts his words together witty and crafty and it is guaranteed he will make me laugh a few times in every song from the things he thinks of. Creativity, I gave him a S.P.E.K., His originality and lyricism are on point. I could see him getting a lot more creative with his song choices. I think he has the ability to write a song backwards as Nas did, or write describing as if he is a gun, a car, crack, or something. His lyricism and originality will definitely bring out a creative song.

Young Langston- Originality: Nase received a S.P.E.K.T., as always in this, we look to see how many tracks were original tracks. None the less Nase has a flow that can basically get on any track and ride it, Skills. Lyricism he was given a S.P.E.K.T.R.  every since he was on 106&Park everyone has always known Mr. Felon to have punch lines. Now add that with his ability to tell stories through his lyrics and what a MC you have. Creativity Nase was also given a S.P.E.K.T.R this was a very well put together mix tape, one of those that you can pop in and Ride to. Over all Nase Felon is a Young Vet in the Eastern Shore Hip Hop game. From Ill Figgaz Ent., to his own personal brand now Log'd.. Nase will continue to make noise.

North Starr- The Illuminati Project

The Illuminati Project was a controversial. This is one of many CD’s dropped by North Starr throughout his career. This CD differs from all other CD’s we reviewed as you may can tell from the title. Giving us streets, politics, party, fun, and struggle all combined to create his latest work. A mature CD, a real CD, a Project. What yall think?

This is S.P.E.K.T.R.U.M.’s review of The Illuminati Project
                               Originality              Lyrics                  Creativity
Reality………………  S.P.E.K.T.R.U.M.  ……    S.P.E.K.T.R.    …..    S.P.E.K.T.R.U.M.
Young Langston… S.P.E.K.T.R. ….      S.P.E.K.T.   …..       S.P.E.K.T.R.

Overall:      S.P.E.K.T.R.U.  Certified

Breakdown:
Reality- Originality I give him a S.P.E.K.T.R.U.M., I know some will say because I am a part of NSMG I rate him this high. No, It is because his originality stands out. Sounding like no other, as well as original tracks, hooks, etc... Lyricism I gave him a S.P.E.K.T.R., Lyrically he has wordplay and a vocabulary that is far from basic. His content is above and beyond the normal that we are used to hearing. Creativity, I gave him a S.P.E.K.T.R.U.M., Hearing this CD and how it is constructed with features from his team, as well as industry artists is a strategic and creative move. Me, personally I love this CD. Though my favorite CD from his is the one called Been-A-Gee, the Illuminati Project is in my top 3. CD after CD, magazine after magazine, DVD magazine after DVD magazine, he crowned himself king and the streets support it.

Young Langston-  Originality: The Don North Starr gets a S.P.E.K.T.R using way more original tracks. Being that North Starr has been a boss for a long time gives him better awareness of this. Lyricism he was given a S.P.E.K.T. over the years I myself have had the honor to hear and see the truth of these stories talked about in these lyrics. I've seen the growth in this category. Creativity received a S.P.E.K.T.R. as always "The Don" has created a Mixtape with music for everyone to feel. This is a mixtape you turn on and let play. With such longevity in local hip hop scene, North Starr will always be a LOCAL LEGEND who helped pave the way.

Jae Russ - Ego Trip

Ego Trip is the latest CD by Jae Russ, hosted by DJ Seven. As Jae Russ strives to build his craft, there is a lot of potential there. Being under the tutelage of Rayz (RIP), he sets out to make Rayz legacy continue. Hooking up with T9 Da Prince over at SwaggaRyte gave him the boost to stand on his own two and begin Lavish Lifestyle. This CD was well put effort and DJ Seven definitely captured the hosting element as he done a very good job doing so.  Jae Russ is working to be amongst the greats. What yall think?

This is S.P.E.K.T.R.U.M.’s review of Ego Trip
                               Originality         Lyrics                  Creativity
Reality………………            S.P.E.K.T.     ……     S.P.E.K.T.R.         …..       S.P.E.K.T.R.
Young Langston….S.P.E.K.        ….      S.P.E.K.T.R.         …..       S.P.E.K.T.

Overall:      S.P.E.K.T.  Certified

Breakdown:
Reality- Originality I give him a S.P.E.K.T., this CD I heard more originality which is always a plus. Close to getting the full S.P.E.K.T.R.U.M., he was short on receiving that for a couple song choices. Lyricism I give him a S.P.E.K.T.R., I like his lyrical ability to play with his flow utilizing different styles. His lyrical content is a plus as well. Creativity he received a S.P.E.K.T.R., I feel as if he came very creative, especially utilizing industry beats with his own songs to it. It shows his ability to do his song over main artist’s tracks and do it just as good.

Young Langston-  Originality Jae Russ was given a S.P.E.K., as always using original tracks makes a mix tape that much better to me. Lyricism he was given a S.P.E.K.T.R., Jae Russ gives you that feel of a backpack rap artist, which we know they pride themselves on lyrics. Creativity Jae Russ received a S.P.E.K.T. even though when you use industry tracks it's big not to flow like the original artist and he definitely created his own style to industry beats. Over all Jae Russ has the potential to be a great artist like Common Lupe', and Kendrick Lamar just gotta keep polishing his skills.

                                   Drakar "City of Strangers"

City of Strangers is the latest CD of Drakar. Hailing from Berlin, MD, Drakar is a young talented lyricist whose growth is unlimited. This CD is as different and diverse than almost every CD that dropped from this region. Through his music he properly delivers his pain and pleasure abling his listeners to feel as if they know him personally. Check out his CD… What yall think?

This is S.P.E.K.T.R.U.M.’s review of City of Strangers

Young Langston….. S.P.E.K.T.R.U.M    ….  S.P.E.K.T.R.           …..       S.P.E.K.T.R.U.M

Overall:      S.P.E.K.T.R.U.  Certified

Breakdown:
Reality- Originality I give them a S.P.E.K.T.R.U.M., His originality is definitely a lane of his own. I mean, there is a lane for his style of music, but locally he is on an island of his own. And with his style, in mainstream he still will stand out. Lyricism I gave him a S.P.E.K., though he has originality and the style to keep you listening, I feel as if his wordplay still has so much room for growth. He is still young so I know his vocabulary and wordplay will soar as time moves... Creativity, I gave him a S.P.E.K.T.R., He sure is a creative artist, yet I couldn’t give him the full S.P.E.K.T.R.U.M. because I would like to hear more versatility covering more topics.

Young Langston- Originality I gave the him a S.P.E.K.R.U.M. To me, Drakar has created his own niche in music. His sound is like no other around him. For lyricism I give him a S.P.E.K.T.R. Drakar can put music on any track from Rock, to pop, to hip hop and any other genre you care to name. With him being so young, imagine his future. Creativity was given S.P.E.K.T.R.U.M. Maybe it’s just me but this young man has main stream music now, he is ready. With the right push behind him, I feel as if he has a bright future ahead of him…. Bright Future Ahead!!!!

T9 "Real Nigga Radio" vol 1

Real Nigga Radio is T9’s latest CD. T9 stays grinding branding his name, and doing well at it. I’ve heard kids saying T9’s saying, “T-T-NINE-NINE-DA PRINCE, GET YA SWAGGA RYTE, GET YA GET YA SWAGGA RYTE”!! That alone let you know he is doing something ryte. What ya’ll think?

This is S.P.E.K.T.R.U.M.’s review of Real Nigga Radio

                                   Originality                Lyrics                  Creativity
Reality………………               S.                ……     S.P.E.K.T.R.           …..       S.P.
Young Langston….. S.P.              ….      S.P.E.K.T.R.           …..       S.P.E.

Overall:      S.P.E.  Certified

Breakdown:
Reality- Originality I give him an S. I know it sounds harsh, but I feel as if there was a lack of originality meaning he just flipped the songs of others. Using others tracks doesn’t take away from originality, but using their hooks does. Lyricism I Give him a S.P.E.K.T.R.. Lyrically T9 is a beast and one of the best lyrically in his region. He has word play and delivery. Creativity, I give him a S.P.. Though he flipped others song while utilizing the same hook for the beats, He had creativity in his own verses. I would like to hear a T9 CD constructing his own hooks, and I know he will have one of the highest reviews thus far. He built a brand and has a following. I just hope he gives them more of him and less of others. Meaning building his own songs, regardless of the beat. Mr SwaggaRyte Get ya Get ya swaggaryte, reps and reps well. I was extra harsh on him because meeting him when he was in highschool and he was hot then, My expectations of him is super high.

Young Langston-  Originality, I gave him a S.P. understanding the concept of what the mix tape was titled.... I still felt using the all industry tracks took away from the originality. Reminded me a lil of when 50cent and G-Unit were making songs out of every ones beats back in their mix tape grind. Lyricism, I have him S.P.E.K.T.R. in this category. T9 has come a long way with his concepts and word play. I've seen the growth. Not everyone on the mix tape help their own lyrically. T9 def  held it down. Creativity, I gave him a S.P.E. in his creativity. Def was a good look using a different DJ from the area in DJ Troy Troni... even though industry tracks were used maybe if he switched up the format of the songs but used the same track it would have added more creativity. Over all the mix tape was to me a Good mixtape. T9 says he's more of a business man than a rapper but I feel on a Lyrical level he has def been working on his Craft. Being a Boss .... Mr. SwaggaRyte himself def is on the grind and one of the hardest working artist/CEO's on the Eastern Shore. His grind will lead him to success!

Stacks & K4 "Time 2 Eat"

Time 2 Eat is Stacks and K4’s latest CD. After lsitening to it, if they get a wrapped van and head further down south with 10,000 CD’s selling them for $5 a pop, they will come back with 50 stacks fa sho.  Don’t know if they are actually a duo or they just did a callabo, either way they sound pretty good together. Reppin Delaware with a top Delaware Dj, DJ Ruckus this CD wasn’t to bad. Mot to mention the hosting was well done. Time 2 Eat is a self explanatory title, they are hungary and it is time to eat. We wonder how much Delaware support they have. What yall think?

This is S.P.E.K.T.R.U.M.’s review of Time 2 Eat

                                      Originality         Lyrics                 Creativity
Reality………………                  S.P.E.      ……   S.P.E.        …..       S.P.E.K.T.
Young Langston…..    S.P.E.K.     ….   S.P.E.K.     …..       S.P.E.K.T.

Overall:      S.P.E.K.  Certified

Breakdown:
Reality- Originality I give them a S.P.E., Reason being is though they had a nice vibe, their style is a further down south style. Dealing with artists and fans from all over, downsouth see us as up north and up north see us as down south, so I look for a distinct sound that sounds like neither north or south, or I look for a sound that intertwines both. Lyricism I gave them a S.P.E., Yeah I am a bit hard on lyricism. I look for the word play as well as the vocabulary. Neither really captivated me. Creativity, I gave him a S.P.E.K.T., They constructed the CD well and wasn’t all over the place but kept a vibe all the way through.

Young Langston-  Originality I gave the fellas a S.P.E.K. nothing against Trap Music but I feel you have to have a sound that sets you apart. A sound that's going to make a Rec Exec. or A&R say ok we need to check this crew out! You have to balance your mixtape out with different style music. For lyricism was a S.P.E.K. once again like I said in my first review.. I never compare lyrics to other local artist, I compare to artists in the industry because that's where Local artsist are trying to go. Certain tracks both fellas went in but Not majority. Creativity was given S.P.E.K.T. the mixtape flowed well and having a DJ such as DJ Ruckus who loves the art of the DJ... also the features that were picked fit very well... Overall a good TRAP MUSIC mixtape but must understand who you will be compared to.. not locals but INDUSTRY ARTIST

                                                   Kindle "New Revelation"

New Revelation is the latest work of Kindle. This is a gospel CD, yet he did very well in capturing his faith and was very convincing. We just wished he was more prepared when sending us his music for review, meaning atleast an album cover. Usually it wouldn’t made the review without an album cover but Young Langston said let’s do it just this one time. Reality agreed, but the next time, no cover, no review… What yall think of his music?

This is S.P.E.K.T.R.U.M.’s review of New Revelation

                                    Originality                Lyrics               Creativity
Reality………………             S.P.E.K.T.R. ……     S.P.E.          …..       S.P.E.K.
Young Langston….. S.P.E.K.T.R. ….     S.P.E.K.T.R.U.M …..    S.P.E.K.

Overall:      S.P.E.K.T.R.  Certified

Breakdown:
Reality- I respect his courage for going outside of the norm in hip hop and mixing gospel music with it. Yet, I wasn’t impressed. I don’t know if it was to hard or just not enough. Originality I gave him a S.P.E.K.T.R… Meaning he did hip hop differently (though it is many hard core gospel artists out there) he still captured the message of what he stands for. Lyrics, I gave him a S.P.E… I feel even though it is gospel music he coulda played with his style more, it was almost like a repeated flow. Creativity I gave him a S.P.E.K.T.. reason being is because he stepped outside of the norm with no fear just faith. Yet, I heard creativity I just didn’t hear creativity to convince me to give him the whole word. I was extra hard on this review because I look for complete hotness steppin outside of the norm.

Young Langston-  I gave Kindle a S.P.E.K.T.R for Originality. It's not everyday you hear a Gospel Mixtape like this. Each song has content and Kindle has a sound of his own. Being a Fan of lyrics no matter what stylle of music I gave Kindle a S.P.E.K.T.R.U.M for Lyricism. I feel even though he is a Gospel rapper he has word play as well as puch lines that have you waiting to hear what's next. For Creativity I gave Kindle a S.P.E.K. the instrumentals used on the mixtape I feel took away from some of the songs. At times hearing gun shots in the back ground of a Gospel track can throw some people. Over all I believe that Kindle has a bright future in his lane. Hard core Gospel Rap is the new thing in Gospel music and for Kindle the sky will be Limitless!

Yung Milli  "Milli's World"

Milli’s World vol. 1 is Yung Milli’s latest CD. A Sussex County Delaware Artist brought his life into your speakers.  Not feeling it at first but after a few times of listening to it, it grew on Young Langston. Reality was the opposite, he liked it at first but after a few times listening to it, it lost its momentum.

This is S.P.E.K.T.R.U.M.’s review of Milli’s World

                                  Originality                 Lyrics               Creativity
Reality:                          S.P.E.K.T.      ……         S.P.E.K.     …..       S.P.E.
Young Langston:  S.P.E.K.T.R.   .….       S.P.E.K.T.      …..      S.P.E.K.T.R.

Overall:      S.P.E.K.  Certified

Breakdown:
Reality- For Originality I gave him a S.P.E.K.T., Though he has his own distinct sound some may think he is from further south then Delaware. His lyrics I chose S.P.E.K., He really didn’t sell me on his lyrical abilities but he did convince me his content reflected his life in many ways. Creativity he got a S.P.E., though the CD was well constructed, to me he doesn’t stand out as paving his own lane or creating that Delaware sound. Overall at first I was impressed. Though after listening to it a few times it didn’t have the same affect,  yet this CD was actually much better than I expected..

Young Langston-  I gave Yung Milli a S.P.E.K.T.R. his whole  style and concept for this mixtape is Original. Taking the route of not talking about Trap Music and speaking on what he did different because of his kids. For lyricism I gave Milli a S.P.E.K.T. his delivery and flow where good but he some what lacked the word play or punch lines that he may need at the next level. Creativity Yung Milli recieved a S.P.E.K.T.R. his sound and beat choice where different and worked for what he was trying to get across. Not using a lot of beats from the industry help a lot. Over all Yung Milli having a Mixtape with a concept set him apart from the rest... his whole album explained is transformation from the streets to using rap as a tool for change. Yung Milli has a bright future...

                                                C- Mack  "#431002"
#431002 is C-Macks latest CD. It’s talks of being the best album lyrically, that’s out on the Eastern Shore right now. Featuring artists from MD and DE, it’s like a bridge gapper.  As always we spoke with some who says that this CD is overated and not as hot as they expected. Then we spoke with others and they say the CD is one of their favorite out on the Shore. What yall think?

This is S.P.E.K.T.R.U.M.’s review of #431002

                           Originality         Lyrics          Creativity
Reality………      S.P.E.K.T.R......  S.P.E.K.T.R.U.   …    S.P.E.K
Y. Langston… S.P.E.K.T.R. …. S.P.E.K.T.R.U.M. ...  S.P.E.K.T.

Overall:      S.P.E.K.T  Certified

Breakdown:
Reality- Ok, Originality I give him a S.P.E.K.T., His word play is well structured and well delivered. I sit and think of who in the industry he sounds like, I think of none. Yet, I feel as if his topics can be elevated. I was into the tracks, lyrics, and structure, but not to much the topic. Though the topics was definitely entertaining I couldn’t really vibe to it myself. That’s his lane to entertain I guess. If so, great job! Lyricism I gave him a S.P.E.K.T.R.U., He is definitely a lyrical horse. I couldn’t give him the complete word, because it didn’t fully impact me, but it came close, maybe next time. Creativity, I gave him a S.P.E.K., Auto tunes was used several times, and I feel that taking his own lane just may be best. Auto tunes took away from #431002 rather than add on to it. Maybe it wasn’t auto tunes but the mix down. Scootie J is one of the best, if not the best producer from the Shore, get his mixdown perfected and wow....
Young Langston-  For Originality I gave C-Mack a S.P.E.K.T.R I felt the mixtape flowed and the different style songs kept you waiting to see what the next track had in store. Lyricism C-Mack got a S.P.E.K.T.R.U.M. to me he has the word play and confidence in his punch lines to take it to a few artist in the industry. S.P.E.K.T. was given for creativity. Having a producer like Scootie J gives C-Mack his own sound. Yet, I don’t know if auto tunes was on or it was the mix down. If it was the mix down he would get a S.P.E.K.T.R.U.. Over all C-Mack has what it takes to pave his own lane in the industry and become something…

Feva Da General "The Appetizer"

The Appetizer is the latest work of Feva Da General. With real heavy promotion, this was a highly anticipated album for the Eastern Shore of MD region.  Did it live up to the hype? Well that depends on who you ask! I’ve spoke with some who says that this CD is straight trash. Then I spoke with others and they say it’s the hottest CD out right now…

This is how S.P.E.K.T.R.U.M. review of The Appetizer…
                                    Originality              Lyrics               Creativity
Reality……………                   S.P.E.K.T.R……     S.P.       …..    S.P.E.K.
Young Langston…   S.P.E.K..T. ……    S.P.       …..    S.P.E.K.T.R.

Overall:      S.P.E.K.  Certified

Breakdown:
Reality- I feel that S.P.E.K.T.R. was perfect in the originality category. His sound and style differs from any other artist. That alone stands out to me. For Lyrics I gave a it a S.P. I am a fan of lyricism, and though he has head boppin music, it lacks tremendously lyrically. Luckly, it doesn’t take lyricism to sell albums now a days. Though I will say, that he is better lyrically than most artists out with a major deal. Creativity, I gave him a S.P.E.K.. Though the CD was creative, I feel DJ Tavonne may have took away from it more than adding on to it. Tavonne is the #1 party DJ in the region, though at one time he was a good Cd host, I just didn’t fell he captured it on The Appetizer. Next time try Scootie J or Ill Kid… Overal I think Fev can make it in the industry. His style and swag stands out, his following is loyal, his grind is consistent, and his team is behind him. On the Eastern Shore he is hands down the hardest working artist. Don’t believe me, well noone performs as much as he does. “Fev, time to start making party promoters kick out”….

Young Langston- I gave him S.P.E.K.T.R. in originality because he stands alone in his own lane in Hip Hop. His style, His look as an artist definitely makes him original. Now being a fan of lyricisism is my reason for giving him a S.P.. His lyrical content was judged on a level compared to true lyricist. Being that DJ Tavonne is the hottest party DJ around, when you think of mix tape DJ’s he doesn’t bring out the energy a DJ should such as a DJs like DJ Drama or even locals such as DJ Ill Kid or DJ Jumpoff. As always I will support Eastern Shore artists, and Fev has definitely been putting in work for the Shore. His following is crazy, his performances are live, and he is branding  S.Y.G.U. Entertainment…

SEMORE BUCKS "Success First, Love Later"

Success 1st Love later was the latest work of SemoreBuckz. With not much promotion, this was still a highly anticipated album for the Eastern Shore of MD region, after droping the mixtape titled single Succes 1st Love later video.  Did it live up to the hype? Well that depends on who you ask! I’ve spoke with some who says that this CD is straight trash. Then I spoke with others and they say it’s one of the hottest CD out right now…

This is how S.P.E.K.T.R.U.M. views of Success First, Love Later …

                                      Originality        Lyricism         Creativity
Reality……………      S.P.  ……        S.P.E.K.T.R…..           S.P.E.K.T.R.
Young Langston….S.P.E.K…        S.P.E.K.T.R…..           S.P.E.K.T.R.

Overall:      S.P.E.K.T.  Certified

Breakdown:

Reality- Sorry, but for Originality I gave him a S.P.. I hear to much of Chris and Neef (Young Guns) in his style. For Lyrics I gave a it a S.P.E.K.T.R.. He had some catchy punch lines that stuck to me throughout his whole CD. Creativity, I gave him a S.P.E.K.T.R.. He did a well job creativity wise. Though I feel as if it isn’t to original, the structure of the songs took alittle thought and wasn’t just thrown together.… Overall I think Semore can make it in the industry, yet it may be hard finding a real deal or someoene to give him the outlet needed, meaning his sound mimmicks Young Gunz old style.. If he is given that outlet, he will flood the industry, success.

Young Langston- I gave him a S.P.E.K. in originality, although I love the sound, it does somewhat resemble the Young Guns, Yet, I feel it is a nice sound, and I can vibe to it. As I said before being a fan of the likes of Big L, Big Pun, Jay-Z, Nas, Andre 3000 and many more lyricists, not saying his name is amoungst those greats, just yet, I give him a S.P.E.K.T.R. His lyrical content plus punch lines put him in a league different from others. Without a DJ Host, his CD was still well put together and it flowed how a mixtape should, track for track. Semore is definitely one to look out for….
